CUSTOMIZED TITAN LEVELING CONTROL (TLC)
The Titan Leveling Control (TLC) is a height monitoring device used to make accurate measurements of a bus’s height and then transmit the information to the buses onboard PLC/MUX. The TLC converts the motion of the height control valve into a useable discrete output.
Buses are required to meet certain industry standards for kneeling (APTA or customer specification). This creates a need for an accurate way to measure the height of the bus with reference to a position and be able to maintain that height after various operations. For instance, kneeling, recovery, and high ride, the bus must achieve specific heights to meet these standards.
The TLC is a stand-alone unit and replaces the use of timers, pressure switches, and proximity switches. It is fast and accurate as it is monitoring actual height. The TLC features ACTIVE KNEEL, which automatically can compensate for changes in loading and unloading.
